The gite was superb.
It was larger than we imagined and there was plenty of room for 5 people. The gite was very clean. The kitchen provided every kitchen utensil you could think of for cooking.
The weather was good so we spent a great deal of time on the large covered patio enjoying the wonderful views including the delightful donkeys. Barbeque and reclining sun loungers were provided. The village is small but the bread shop is great. Do try the local restaurant bar even if just for a drink and to meet the locals.
Places such as Domme Rocamador are a hours drive away. Plenty of supermarkets in the near by town of Terrasson. Jean - Jacques was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
It is easy to see why this gite is regularly booked by repeat visitors. Book you will not be disappointed.
Très beau Gite, bien situé à proximité des principaux sites touristiques du Périgord. Isabelle et Jean-Jacques nous ont très bien accueilli.
Le gite est confortable, et les photos correspondent très précisément.
L'endroit est très calme, la terrasse est ombragée , bien agencée, et avec une très belle vue => Nous y avons donc passé la plupart de notre temps...
Je recommande vivement ce magnifique lieu de vacances !
Absolutely perfect in every way!!! Our favourite accommodation on this 5 stop journey. First the house itself is very comfortable and well stocked for doing all of your own cooking, beds very comfortable and a lovely patio to sit on and watch all of the goings on in the meadow in front of the house. You can literally lose an hour or two doing nothing at all.
The village of Peyrignac is small and charming and the people very friendly. There is a bakery we visited every morning a short walk from the house but we took the longer route about 45 minutes in the beautiful forest that surrounds the property. Restaurants and grocery shopping are all close by. Jean-Jacques is an exceptional host and took much more time than expected giving us great ideas for places to visit and there are many many things to see in this region. Thank you also to Mr Pierre Lafaye for his gracious hospitality. A big thank you to the horses and donkey's that made the stay very entertaining. Your kids will absolutely love it !
We loved this place 5 star all the way! The family, the animals, the surroundings, the experience of French country life, just an amazing experience.

Jean-Jacques was a wonderful host very helpful at telling us where to go and what sights to see. Even though they dont normally supply towels and bed linen, they did us a favour as we were not coming from Europe (Israël).
The directions JJ gave us were spot on as we were travelling by car from Paris.
The cottage is very well equipped, everything you need, as if you were at home. The view is stunning and gorgeous horses and donkeys to greet us in the morning. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this to anybody who wants to stay in this part of France.
Thank you Jean-Jacques for all your help and advise we had a wonderful holiday. Everything was great thanks. Hope to see you when we are living in France one day !!
Jean-Jacques could not have been more welcoming. We felt very at home straight away. We were both left alone and looked after which is quite a trick. We had poor weather on our stay but it was a warm experience. We now feel we are welcome in the area and are bound to visit again.
It felt like getting to know a family rather than just paying for a service. JJ was particularly good with our kids letting them play with the Donkeys and taking us out for a walks with them. He is thorough but thankfully never petty, a good combination for relaxation.
There is plenty of space for the children to run about in safely.
Utterly fantastic. Everything about our time here exceeded our expectations. The location, the property and importantly the host. Jean Jaques went out of his way to make our stay here a pleasant one for our family.

Le gîte est parfait, très confortable et décoré avec goût.
Les enfants se sont éclatés avec la piscine, lès chevaux et les ânes. Jean Jacques est un hôte très attentif qui a veillé au moindre détail pour rendre le séjour agréable.
Enfin, le gîte est parfaitement situé pour visiter les sites majeurs de la Dordogne et dans un village très calme, avec une vue magnifique.
Je le recommande et d'ailleurs nous reviendrons !!!
